How it works

Four steps from bare metal to a running cluster

STEP 01

Create the cluster

Sign in to the User Console, choose one or three control-plane nodes, and declare your networks and hardware profiles. FleetDriver validates the plan and builds a personalized installer ISO.

STEP 02

Boot the metal

Boot each server from the ISO. It proves its identity with a key held in its TPM and reports its hardware. You approve each machine by serial number and fingerprint.

STEP 03

Unattended install

Each approved node enrolls, encrypts its disks with a TPM-sealed key, escrows the recovery passphrase before formatting, enrolls Secure Boot, and boots its immutable NixOS image.

STEP 04

The cluster forms itself

etcd, the Kubernetes control plane, and the secrets vault come up on their own. Open the Cluster Console and operate. Upgrades roll one node at a time, draining first and rolling back automatically if a boot fails.
